🎨 Paint & Puff: Open Canvas — Create Whatever Inspires You!
Why paint what everyone else is painting when you can create something that's completely yours?
Welcome to Paint & Puff: Open Canvas at SPOT 586 — a relaxed, creative experience where YOU decide what goes on your canvas!
Unlike our themed painting events, there's no featured design to follow. Instead, you get a blank canvas, a colorful selection of paints, and the freedom to create whatever inspires you.
Want to paint a beautiful sunset? Go for it! Feeling abstract? Let loose! Have a picture or idea you've been wanting to bring to life? This is your chance!
And don't worry if you're not an experienced artist. Our friendly painting instructor will be there throughout the session to offer guidance, demonstrate techniques, help with colors, and turn your creative ideas into something special.
Whether you're looking for a fun date night, a creative outing with friends, or a little time to yourself, this is your chance to unplug, unwind, and enjoy a laid-back, 420-friendly atmosphere.
No two canvases will look alike — and that's exactly how we like it!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need painting experience?
Absolutely not! Open Canvas welcomes beginners and experienced painters alike. Our instructor will be available to help you get started, answer questions, and demonstrate techniques as needed.
Will everyone be painting the same picture?
No! That's what makes Open Canvas different. You choose your own subject, colors, and style. There's no assigned painting or required design.
Do I have to participate in the “puff” portion?
Not at all! Participation is completely optional. You're welcome to enjoy painting, music, and good company. This is a 21+ experience, and guests must follow all venue policies and applicable consumption rules.
What if I don't know what to paint?
That's completely fine! Our instructor can help you brainstorm ideas and find a starting point. You're also welcome to bring an inspiration photo or reference image.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time to check in, get comfortable, and settle in before the painting begins.
Is this a guided painting class?
It's an open-format painting experience with instructor assistance. Rather than teaching everyone the same painting step by step, the instructor helps guests with their individual projects.
This is a 21+ event. A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Guests must follow all SPOT 586 policies and applicable consumption rules.
🌈 Your Canvas. Your Masterpiece.
At our traditional Paint & Puff classes, everyone creates their own version of a featured painting.
Open Canvas is different.
Here, the featured artist is YOU.
There's no required image, no pressure to keep up with the group, and no expectation that your painting has to look like anyone else's.
Our instructor is there to support your creativity, not limit it.
Whether you want a little help or prefer to explore independently, the experience is yours to enjoy.
Bring your imagination, bring your friends, and leave with a masterpiece that tells your own story.
